In 1990, founder Robin started making shoes in his own workshop. Back then, veganism was not as well known as it is now, so the name 'Vegetarian Shoes' was a logical choice. But what really makes their shoes special? It all started with the discovery of a synthetic microfibre material that could match the look and feel of leather and was also breathable. Robin immediately embraced this innovation and quickly expanded the range to include boots, sandals and belts - all made from this revolutionary vegan leather.
