In 1990, founder Robin started making shoes in his own workshop. Back then, veganism was not as well known as it is now, so the name 'Vegetarian Shoes' was a logical choice. But what really makes their shoes special? It all started with the discovery of a synthetic microfibre material that could match the look and feel of leather and was also breathable.
