This is the best place to try delicious and inventive vegan sushi! David and Veronica, both vegan themselves, started this restaurant because they felt they were missing out on truly delicious vegan sushi. Now you can enjoy their wonderful creations too!
 
Vegan Sushi Bar has now two locations: in the Pijp and Amsterdam West, both are vegan hotspots in Amsterdam.

This list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Vegabond: this vegan supermarket and deli has been around for a while and is a real crowd favourite. Vegabond offers a wide array of vegan cheeses, cakes, condiments and household products amongst other things. The deli is the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch during a day in Amsterdam.

Koffie ende Koeck

In our opinion an underrated gem in Amsterdam! Koffie ende Koeck was created out of love for vegan patisserie and animal rights. The owner Maartje puts her passion and hard work into every dish and it shows. This restaurant is small but cozy with beautiful decor and always friendly staff. "Taart ende Koeck", Maartje's beautiful cookbook, can be found in the  VEGA-LIFE (web)shop!

How to get there safely: From Amsterdam Central Station you can walk to VEGA-LIFE in about 10 minutes, avoiding the most busy areas in Amsterdam. You can easily get there by taking a left turn from the station into  Hendrikskade and then turning right into the Gelderskade. Follow this street to Nieuwmarkt and follow Kloveniersburgwal. Take the first road to the left into Nieuwe Hoogstraat and find us near the corner.
 
Of course you can also take the metro from Amsterdam Central Station. Take tram 51, 53 or 54 and get off at Nieuwmarkt. From here follow the Kloveniersburgwal and turn left into the Nieuwe Hoogstraat. This will take you to the store in about 3 minutes!
 
You can also get to VEGA-LIFE easily and quickly by car: park close by from 09.00 to 04.00 at the Geldersekade parking garage and take a 4-minute walk through the Nieuwmarkt and the usually quiet Kloveniersburgwal to the Nieuwe Hoogstraat.
