Saola Wanaka Knit W - White

Like all of Saola's shoes, the Wanaka Knit W is ultra comfortable and light, only 176 grams each!

The upper material is made from recycled PET bottles. The dyeing process for knit materials requires 40% less than a conventional process.
The removable insoles are made of cork and seaweed.
The laces are made with 100% organic cotton.

Saola uses BloomFoam technology: The Bloom Foam team cleans overgrown lakes of harmful algae caused by human activity. These harmful, invasive algae are taken from the lakes and blended with synthetic substance to form foam: EVA.
Using the BloomFoam technique, clean water and cleaned air are pumped back into the lakes: 42 liters of water, free of invasive algae and 27 m3 CO2 reduction, per pair of sneakers.

Saola continues to look for ways to produce as responsibly as possible and donates 1% of the proceeds to helping sea turtles, cleaning up plastic on beaches and raising awareness among locals about marine biodiversity conservation.

The shoes are ethically made in Vietnam. This has less impact than production in Portugal because Saola delivers globally and the raw materials are produced as locally as possible.
